A new trailer for James Gunn’s hşghly-expected ‘The Suicide Squad‘ is here!
On June 22, Gunn, the filmmaker best known for his works including ‘Super,’ ‘Guardians of Galaxy‘ film series, and ‘Brightburn,’ took to his verified social media accounts to announce the exciting news regarding the upcoming film. On Twitter, Gunn, who recently became the subject of the news after sharing a video of ‘Guardians of Galaxy’ star Chris Pratt eating a bug, released the fresh trailer for the film and added a note that reads:
“Supervillains unite! New Official Trailer for The Suicide Squad.”
In his message, Gunn, who served as a director, writer and producer for the highly-awaited superhero film based on DC Universe’s well-known team of the same name, also revealed the release date of ‘The Suicide Squad’:
“See it in theaters on the big screen August 6!”
A shortly before, the famous director shared the official poster for the film starring Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Sylvester Stallone, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Peter Capaldi.
As fans might remember, filming for the DC Universe superhero film began on September 20, 2019, at Pinewood Atlanta Studios and ended on February 28, 2020. Following announcing the wrap, Warner Bros. declared that the film would be released back in December 2020.
However, the release date updated; according to the official announcement, ‘The Suicide Squad’ has been set to release theatrically on August 6 in the US. What’s more, the film will be available to watch through HBO Max.
