This week, while the delay of ‘The Batman Part II’ has been making headlines, ‘The Brave and the Bold’ director Andy Muschietti said that his DCU film would also need to be pushed back as he shifts focus to another project temporarily.
When questioned about this on X, James Gunn denied the news, writing, “‘The Brave and the Bold’ hasn’t been delayed so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.”
'BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD' hasn't been delayed according to James Gunn:

Gunn shared before that DCU projects will only move forward when the scripts are completely ready. Since ‘The Brave and the Bold’ was not scheduled to begin production yet, it hasn’t been delayed based on this guideline.
DC is still in the process of casting the new Batman. Since the delay of ‘The Batman,’ there is speculation about Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight joining the main DCU, although Gunn has said Elseworlds will continue independently.
Work is continuing on both ‘The Brave and the Bold’ and ‘The Batman Part II.’ Gunn noted that Reeves is currently refining the script for ‘The Batman Part II,’ which also had its title changed recently.
A release date for ‘The Brave and the Bold’ has not been set, whereas ‘The Batman Part II’ is now set for release in October 2027. This shift means there will be a five-and-a-half-year gap between the first film and its sequel.
Additionally, there’s expected to be a three-year interval between ‘The Penguin’ and the next chapter of Reeves’ Batman series. ‘The Penguin’ Season 2 is reportedly in the early stages of development, and it might premiere before the sequel to ‘The Batman.’
