James Gunn, best known for directing superhero films such as ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ and ‘The Suicide Squad,’ updated his Instagram feed with a touching post announcing the dog he had rescued on the streets of Colon, Panama was adopted.
Gunn, who received the Best Director at Saturn Awards for his directorial of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ released a video of himself playing the rescued dog and announced he had amazing news. The well-known director wrote alongside the video that the dog was adopted by a “wonderful man on a farm with horses and another dog” and thanked Fundacion Rescatistas KC3 for their help. He continued:
“Thank you so so much to all the people who helped her on her journey, especially to @zaryst786 & her wonderful new owner!”
The filmmaker, who began his career with the 1996 film, ‘Tromeo and Juliet,’ expressed that he has been in tears since he got the news:
“I literally can’t stop crying. This good girl truly captured my heart and I’m so happy she’s found a paradise of a forever home. 🙏🙏🙏❤️ “
Gunn, also known as a producer and screenwriter, concluded his post by encouraging his fans and followers not to shop for pets but adopt, with the hashtag #adoptdontshop.
In return, the official Instagram account for Fundacion Rescatistas KC3 jumped into the comments section and left the following message:
“Atlanta is very happy!!!! ♥️🐾🎉 Thank you @jamesgunn for rescue her. I hope one day you can visit Atlanta in Panama 🇵🇦 🇵🇦 🇵🇦 🇵🇦. God bless all of you @thesuicidesquad 👍”
