James Gunn recently cleared the air on a rumor about ‘The Batman – Part II’ on Threads.
Some fans were talking about ‘The Sandman’s Boyd Holbrook being selected to play Two-Face in the upcoming Batman sequel. They thought it was a perfect choice. However, James Gunn said that this story is not true at all.
Gunn took to Threads to let everyone know that the news about Holbrook was completely made up. Some thought maybe the actor’s team spread this rumor to get people talking, but Gunn doesn’t think so:
“No, I don’t think this has anything to do with Boyd and his people. Sometimes, it’s an honest mistake by websites who’ve gotten false info (although they’re jumping the gun journalistically) & other times, it’s just made up for clicks. I don’t know which one this is.”
You might have seen Holbrook in ‘Narcos’ or ‘The Fugitive.’ He’s also been in ‘Logan’ and ‘The Predator.’
‘Batman 2’ Is Full of Uncertainties
There’s a lot we don’t know about ‘The Batman – Part II’ yet. It’s unknown what the story will be about or even if Two-Face is going to be the bad guy. The movie’s release has been pushed back a year, from October 2025 to October 2026.
But we do know that a TV show about The Penguin is coming out later this year. This show will connect the first Batman movie with its sequel.
There are rumors Joker might play a bigger role in the sequel.
