James Van Der Beek Reveals He Met Love Of His Life In Israel As He Calls Authorities To Stop What’s Going In Palestine

Actor James Van Der Beek became the last name speaking out about what’s going on between Palestine and Israel.

On May 19, the well-known actor, who came to prominence after starring in various teen dramas including ‘Dawson’s Creek,’ jumped into his verified Instagram account and released a couple of shots captured during his travel to Palestine with his wife, Kimberly. Alongside the photos, Van Der Beek revealed that he met Kimberly and fell in love with her in Israel. A year later, the couple flew back there to get married; he continued:

“First day of that trip, we exited a holy site in Hebron to find our guide gone – arrested by the Israeli police. I asked when he might be back. The shopkeeper gave us food & water, and introduced us to his son, who wanted to give us a tour of the Palestinian section. A few hours later, we accepted.”

Stating that he has a hundred heartwarming tales from their time in Israel, the father-of-five continued his message as follows:

“Shouts of “Mazel Tov!” from strangers (our wedding had made the news there), the restaurant owner who sent us home with a free bottle of wine and a blessing, the extended family reunion a friend invited us to up north where everyone cooked the best food I’d ever eaten, the soldier who shouldered his machine gun to help us load our stroller onto a bus… I could go on and on.”

In his lengthy caption, the actor, who tied the knots with Kimberly Brook in a private ceremony at the Kabbalah Center in Tel Aviv, Israel touched on the cultural differences and their power of connecting people of both Palestine and Israel. By referring to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, the actor added:

“This is by no means a complete picture of the situation, and I won’t pretend to understand the geopolitical complexities fueling this conflict…But there’s a lot of humanity on both sides of that razor wire, and whatever solution fails to recognize that… isn’t a solution.”

It’s unclear that whether the authorities will listen to the well-known names’ calls for peace.
