Jamie Foxx goes on congratulating those who contributed to the success of the animated film ‘Soul‘ which received two Academy Awards as Best Original Score and Best Animated Feature.
On April 30, the Academy Award-winning star went to his verified Instagram account with a picture of the well-known musician Jon Batiste, who served as co-composer on the Pixar film, and gave a big shout-out to him. Foxx, voicing jazz pianist ‘Joe Gardner‘ in the groundbreaking animation film, wrote the following message as a caption:
“Can we please give this man his flowers?!… Jon Batiste was the main ingredient to the music in the Oscar award-winning film Soul.”
Foxx, who is familiar with hyping his industry friends with social media posts, stated that Batiste is elevating the artistic game, and continued his message as follows:
“We are blessed to have you in our world to keep our music alive and vibrant… Every time I see or hear you… So congratulations on your Oscar… It is beautiful and well deserved… And as I say in New Orleans… Ehh baby you did dat!”
In return, Batiste took to his verified Instagram account and reposted the abovementioned message. Along with it, he penned:
“So glad to be a part of our unbelievable team. Thanks for everything Jamie Foxx.”
As we stated before, with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Batiste received the Academy Award for Best Original Score for the 2020 dated animation. The musicians also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score.
