Newly Academy Award-winning star, Daniel Kaluuya is keeping on receiving praises from his well-known industry friends.
On April 27, a day after Kaluuya received an Academy Award for the Best Supporting Actor for his performance as ‘Fred Hampton‘ in the groundbreaking film ‘Judas and the Black Messiah,’ the other Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx fired up his social media accounts to congratulate him.
On the eve of expressing his satisfaction with being a part of the animated film ‘Soul’ which won Best Original Score and Best Animated Feature at the 93nd Academy Awards, Foxx released a two-photo-gallery seeing Kaluuya holding his award on hand just after the ceremony. Along with the photos, the ‘Dad Stop Embrassing Me’ actor wrote the following message as follows:
“Big ups!!! Please give this brother all of his flowers! Daniel Kaluuya… You blew us all away with your performance this year! But to be honest you have been kicking as* for a minute! Keep shining keep giving us artistic gems!”
As fans might remember Foxx, who was the first Black lead in a Pixar film ever, showed his support for the ‘Sucker Punch’ actor throughout the beginning of his career. So much so that, back on April 5, the ‘Django: Unchained‘ actor went to his verified Instagram account with a post devoted to Kaluuya.
At that time, he posted a photo of the ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ actor and praised his performance with the following words:
“I wanna take this time to recognize someone who is taking the artistic world by storm… Daniel Kaluuya… your performance in Judas and the black Messiah was epic… Watching your growth has been amazing!”
In his message, the multiple-time Grammy Award-winning artist described the young actor as a “treasure” and congratulated him on all his awards “from Golden globes to the Oscars.”
