Academy Award-winning actor Jared Leto took to Instagram in order to tell of his days when he was filming for the biographical film ‘Prefontaine.’
Leto first asked his followers whether they saw the movie, which is centered on the life of the American long-distance runner Steve Prefontaine, and later mentioned how he had become a runner for his epic role:
“Seen it?
“I had become a runner. I was in the best shape I’ve ever been in my life. My knees weren’t used to training like this, and I tore my knee up almost right away and couldn’t run for two and a half weeks. Precious time when you’re on a schedule 😅”
Then ‘The Thin Red Line’ actor, who frequently shares the snaps from the movies he played in before, told of the impact of the movie, written by Steve James and Eugene Corr, and directed by James, on his life with the following words:
“What a memorable experience it was to learn about Pre- an absolute legend gone too soon. I aimed to make his family proud. That was my goal and I figured if I did that, everything else would be just fine.”
Preparing for portraying Andy Warhol in the upcoming movie, Leto concluded his message by quoting from Steve Prefontaine:
“To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.”
