The film industry goes on expressing disbelief in the death of Helen McCrory.
On April 17, the late actor’s ‘Harry Potter‘ co-star Jason Isaacs took to his verified Instagram account to pay homage; the actor, best known for portraying ‘Lucius Malfoy‘ in the fantasy film series alongside McCrory, posted a photo from the film in which he, the late star and Tom Felton are seen together.
Along with the “Malfoy Family Photo,” i2n the caption section, Isaacs remembered the day he first met with McCory, that the audition held for the roles in ‘Harry Potter’ film series. ‘The Patriot‘ star wrote:
“Decades ago Helen and I auditioned together for a film. I came home and said to Emma ‘I think I’ve just met the greatest actress I’ve ever seen.’ After years of watching her mesmerize audiences I don’t think that any more…I know it.”
Then the 57-year-old star described McCrory, portraying ‘Narcissa Malfoy‘ in the said film series, as “scabrously funny,” “shockingly naughty” and “with an empathetic heart the size of a planet.” Isaacs continued his homage as follows:
“As continually starstruck as I was on the Harry Potter films, being screen-married to and giggle with the great Helen McCrory will always be a highlight. Her proudest achievement, though, was building and loving the family that was her bedrock.”
He concluded his words by saying that he is sending all his love to the actor’s husband Damian and the kids.
Apart from Isaacs, the other member of ‘Malfoy Family,’ Tom Felton jumped into his social media accounts to say goodbye to his screen-mother. Stating that he is very sad to say farewell so suddenly, Felton wrote:
“I never took the chance to tell her , but she helped shape me as a person so much – on & off screen – She was always relentlessly herself- razor sharp wit – silver tongued – kind & warm hearted – she suffered no fools yet had time for everyone – thank you for lighting the way forward & holding my hand when I needed it. “
As known, Helen McCrory passed away of cancer on April 16, at the age of 52.
