American actor and musician Jeff Goldblum updated his Instagram to share that he got his first dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to prevent getting infected, however, he faced backlash from his followers for his privilege.
On Monday, Jeff Goldblum made an announcement on his Instagram and shared a photo of himself at his home in Los Angeles, after being vaccinated by a nurse from the LA County Department of Health.
In the caption of his snapshot, the 68-year-old actor expressed his immense gratitude towards the healthcare workers, who got tired the most during the pandemic process. He also stated that he was a citizen, who was in his platinum years as follows:
“Immense gratitude to all of the frontline healthcare workers, continuing to work tirelessly to keep us all safe. As a citizen well into my platinum years, I got my first dose of the vaccine through the LA County Department of Health.”
While giving a pose at his luxurious looking backyard, he assured that he will continue to comply with pandemic measures as follows:
“I’ll continue to wear masks and practice social distancing. This too shall pass. Grand things are ahead.💞”
Following the post, some followers of the actor criticized him for getting privilege for something that all people should equally receive. “I want to be rich enough to have a vaccine delivered to my house,” reproached one follower, while another commented: “Are they sending vaccinators to celebrities’ houses? That’s odd”
