Jennifer Garner starred as the CIA spy Sydney Bristow in the series J.J. Abrams created. The actress recently discussed her possible comeback in an ‘Alias’ reboot during a chat with ‘The Ringer’s Dear Felicity.’ She said:
“I’m asked for a reboot literally every interview I do, when we’re gonna do it.”
Host and ‘Alias’ co-star Greg Grunberg then assumed Garner wouldn’t want to return for a full-length film instead of a show. The actress replied:
“Are you kidding? Of course I would. I’d do anything J.J. would direct.”
Abrams Thinks Of A Reboot
Garner shared during a 2023 interview with The View that her time in ‘Alias’ was ‘the most fun ever.’ But she also noted that nobody brought up the idea of a reboot to her yet.
Meanwhile, Abrams’ long-time editor Maryann Brandon revealed working on a comeback with the show’s creator. She told Awards Daily in 2019:
“I’ve often asked him about it, and he’ll say, ‘Yeah, maybe.’ I have no insight whatsoever other than that. I mean, I love Jennifer Garner. She’s extremely good at what she does and so I would be happy if they did reboot it.”
The Actress’ New Project
Jennifer Garner is currently in talks to star opposite Matt Damon in the new film ‘Animals.’ Her ex-husband Ben Affleck is reportedly set to direct the script from Connor McIntyre and Billy Ray.
Affleck and Damon are also producers with Dani Bernfield, Brad Weston, and Collin Creighton.
Garner’s involvement in the project is not confirmed yet.
