Jennifer Lopez and Armie Hammer are ready to portray a couple in Lionsgate’s action-comedy, ‘Shotgun Wedding.’
The movie, in which Lopez and Hammer play fiancés Darcy and Tom, will be directed by ‘Pitch Perfect’ director Jason Moore and produced by George Dewey, actor Ryan Reynolds and Lopez herself. As for the screenplay is being now writing by Mark Hammer (known for ‘Two Night Stand’) and Liz Meriwether (known for ‘New Girl’).
Regarding the news, President of Production for Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group, Erin Westerman said Lopez and Hammer’s irresistible magnetism, separately and together, made them the perfect pairing for this action-comedy. He added then:
“They are both incredibly funny actors that can also deliver on the action, but what sets this movie apart is the way their infectious chemistry commands the screen. You can’t take your eyes off them.
Neither Lopez, who is preparing for the release of her latest rom-com ‘Marry Me‘ nor Armie Hammer, best known for his performance in ‘Call Me By Your Name‘ have not commented on the news.
Further casting details and release date has yet been announced. However, it is known the flick would start filming in 2021. According to news obtained from Lionsgate by DEADLINE, ‘Shotgun Wedding’ will be premiered at the upcoming AFM.
