One of the most influential artists in the world, Jennifer Lopez teased a snap from the highly-expected comedy film, ‘Marry Me,’ the other day.
Lopez took to Instagram and shared a movie scene photo of herself alongside co-star Owen Wilson, and announced the release date for the upcoming romantic comedy film. Jlo added a caption that read:
“#ChangeTheDate! You’re invited to @MarryMeMovie on May 14, 2021! #MarryMeMovie”
The same day, Lopez shared another first-look photo from the film, that sees her rehearsing with a group of dancers. Lopez just added a note which reads “Just say YES … 5.14.2021” along with the photo.
As fans remember, earlier this year Lopez and Maluma dropped the film’s companion soundtracks titled, ‘Pa Ti‘ and ‘Lonely,’ accompanied by a two-part music video.
‘Marry Me,’ directed by Kat Coiro and written by John Rogers, Tami Sagher and Harper Dill, is based upon the novel of the same name by Bobby Crosby; it follows a Latin star ‘Katalina “Kat” Valdez‘ (Jennifer Lopez) and a fan of her and a divorced high school teacher ‘Charlie Gilbert‘ (Owen Wilson), and their surprise decision on marrying.
The film, starring also Sarah Silverman, Jameela Jamil, John Bradley, Michelle Buteau, Chloe Coleman and Maluma, started filming in October 2019. It was scheduled to be released on February 12, 2021. However, the release date has been postponed to May 14, 2021.
