Jensen Ackles has a piece of great news for the fans of ‘Supernatural,’ however, Jared Padalecki is not happy at all about the updates.
On June 24, the actor, who has been under media coverage for a while due to his starring in the DC Comic series ‘The Boys,’ jumped into his verified Instagram account so as to confirm the news that he will serve as executive producers alongside his wife Danneel Ackles for ‘Supernatural’ Prequel ‘The Winchesters.’
In order to deliver the exciting news, Ackles, who gained international fame after portraying ‘Dean Winchester’ in the series, released a screenshot of the DEADLINE report titled “Supernatural’ Prequel ‘The Winchesters’ In Works At The CW From Jensen & Danneel Ackles” and then added a note that reads:
“Been sitting on this for a while… Can’t wait to share… It’s the story I always wanted to know. We will hit the waypoints that have been set and fill in the rest in a way you never expected. ‘We got work to do.'”
During the recent interview with the said website, Ackles stated regarding the upcoming feature:
“After Supernatural wrapped its 15th season, we knew it wasn’t over. Because like we say in the show, ‘nothing ever really ends, does it?’ When Danneel and I formed Chaos Machine Productions, we knew the first story we wanted to tell was the story of John and Mary Winchester, or rather the Supernatural origin story.”
Everybody was fascinated with the news but Ackles’ ‘Supernatural’ co-star Jared Padalecki; once the news spread, he took to his verified Twitter account that stated that he had not known about anything about the spin-off:
“Dude. Happy for you. Wish I heard about this some way other than Twitter. I’m excited to watch, but bummed that Sam Winchester had no involvement whatsoever.”
We are now waiting for Ackles’ comment on the issue.
