Actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, best known for playing ‘Mitchell Pritchett’ on the mockumentary family sitcom ‘Modern Family’ took to Instagram to help get out the vote.
Ferguson posted a photo that he appears drinking coffee while spending time on his mobile phone; and added a caption that both refers to the importance of voting and announces he has created a texting channel in order to register to vote.
The five-time Primetime Emmy Award winner wrote in the caption that he loved voting:
“Voting is important in all elections — local and federal! It’s our right and I too spent a lot of my young life taking it for granted. But not anymore! I love voting — to me it feels like a pure celebration of freedom.”
Then the actor mentioned the texting channel:
“So let’s text about it! Text me at +1 310-564-7939 proof of your voter registration, or your voting plan, and/or your selfie’s with your ‘I Voted’ stickers! Now that early voting and mail-in voting has started in a lot of places, feel free to send any of your voting thoughts! I’ll be replying to you all with high praise, pictures of my pups & funny memes.”
A few days before, Ferguson also uploaded a photo of his baby’s bodysuit with “MY PARENTS ARE VOTING FOR JOE” and openly announced that he was a supporter of Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee for the 2020 election.
Besides, the actor, who is honest about his political views, also has appeared in the 2016 Democratic National Convention promotional trailer entitled ‘Our Fight Song.’
