Jim Parsons Shares The First Released Photos Of ‘Boys In The Band’

American actor and producer Jim Parsons, known for his role as ‘Sheldon Cooper’ in ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ took to his verified Instagram and posted a series of photos from the upcoming film adaptation of the Crowley play, ‘Boys in the Band’ for the first time.

The actor, who received a good number of awards for his performance, including Primetime Emmy and Golden Glode, regarding the movie, which is scheduled to be released on September 30, 2020, by Netflix, wrote alongside the never-seen photos:

Premiering globally on @netflixfilm on September 30th, here are the first released photos (swipe to view them all) of our film adaptation of ‘Boys in the Band’ Mart Crowley’s groundbreaking 1968 play about gay friendship and chosen family.”

Then, Parsons paid tribute to the late American playwright Mart Crowley by celebrating his birthday:

“Today is Mart’s birthday, he would have been 85, and we miss him terribly… But I know in my heart he’s watching all this and enjoying it…”

Representing ‘Michael’ in the said movie, Parsons thanked his fellow players, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, and Andrew Rannells, and the director, Joe Mantello, and expressed his satisfaction at being of a part of the project. He wrote at the end of the caption:

“I love and loved working with every one of the boys in this film, and absolutely adore our director, Joe Mantello… And I ALWAYS love being a part of @mrrpmurphy ‘s world – he started this particular journey for all of us and I am forever grateful. Again, we miss you Mart – this one’s for you 💝”
