Jimmy Kimmel’s Take On Trump: ‘He’s The Star Wars Emperor, And He Just Won’t Go Away’

Jimmy Kimmel compares Donald Trump to the Emperor from ‘Star Wars.’

Jimmy Kimmel recently reacted to Donald Trump’s US Election triumph and compared him to a ‘Star Wars’ villain.

Kimmel compared Trump to the Emperor in ‘Star Wars,’ saying, “He’s old, he’s evil, and he comes back with no reasonable explanation.” He added, “We had the choice between a prosecutor and a criminal, and we chose the criminal to be President of the United States. More than half of this country voted for the criminal who is planning to pardon himself for his crimes.”

Kimmel recalled that Trump refused to accept the outcome of the 2020 election, saying, “Kamala Harris called Trump today. She conceded and then explained what the word conceded means.”

Kimmel was very emotional when he spoke: “Let’s be honest. It was a terrible night last night,” he said. “It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hard-working immigrants who make this country go, for health care, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech. It was a terrible night for poor people, for the middle class, for seniors who rely on Social Security, for our allies in Ukraine, for NATO, for the truth and democracy and decency.”

Kimmel said that he could not stay for four more years of this and that he would pack up his office and leave the country.

In addition to Kimmel, many celebrities shared their thoughts and feelings about Trump’s win, such as ‘Riverdale’ star Lili Reinhart, who wrote on her Twitter account: “I cannot fathom the feeling of the women who came forward about their sexual assault at the hands of Trump, seeing millions of people vote for their abuser. My heart absolutely breaks for these women. I believe you, and I am so sorry.”
