Johnny Depp took to Instagram on December 31, after keeping silent for a quite while.
Depp, who recently announced that he had resigned from ‘Fantastic Beasts‘ after losing the “wife beater” case against The Sun, shared a photo of a page of preface to William Saroyan‘s ‘The Time of Your Life‘ and added a lengthy caption to wish his fans and followers a happy new year.
The Hollywood actor first added a title to his message as “A New Year’s wish to all” and then touched on the misfortune events in 2020 by implying to COVID-19 and social & economic issues:
“Though the world is in mourning for better days, I hope all of you are able to find a moment tonight to smile and more importantly, to laugh and make others laugh, as much as possible.”
One of the most paid actors in Hollywood highlighted the importance of keeping a positive attitude over happenings even it could difficult in these kinds of times:
“I know this may be difficult in the midst of these trying times, but I wish nothing but happiness and health to all. May you be surrounded in perfection.”
The ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ concluded his message by writing, “with all my love and respect, JD.”
