In his series What’s Next? The Future with Bill Gates, Lady Gaga talked about why she didn’t respond to early rumors saying she was a man.
“When I was in my early 20s there was a rumour that I was a man,” the singer said. “I went all over the world. I travelled for tours and for promoting my records and almost every interview I sat in they said… there was this imagery on the Internet that had been doctored… they’d say, ‘There’s rumours that you’re a man. What do you have to say about that?'”
“I didn’t feel like a victim with that lie,” Gaga shared about why she never responded. “I thought: ‘What about a kid who is being accused of that, who would think that a public figure like me would feel shame?'”
Gaga has been teasing her new album and said the first single will come out next month. Fans have seen her filming at the Louvre in Paris and think it might be for a music video for the album.
She will also be in ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ with Joaquin Phoenix. “You know, my version of Harley is mine and it’s very authentic to this movie and these characters,” Gaga told Access Hollywood about her Harley Quinn portrayal in the film. “I’ve never done anything like I’ve done in this movie before, so it’s all going to be completely brand new and really fun.”
Margot Robbie who played Harley in ‘Suicide Squad’ also reacted to Gaga’s involvement, explaining, “Oh my God! She’s gonna crush it. Are you kidding? She’s gonna be amazing. I can’t wait to see it.”
“I actually haven’t spoken to her about it. I almost don’t wanna know so I can save it for the surprise when I get to see the movie,” the actress also added.
We will also see Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey in ‘Joker: Folie à Deux.’ The film is scheduled to arrive on October 4, 2024.
