Jordana Lajoie is best known for her role as Cherie in ‘The Boys.’ She’s also a producer. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at her career and her role in ‘The Boys.’
Lajoie’s Entry Into The Acting World
Jordana began acting by joining a three-year Theatre program, as IMDB states. During that time, she started her own company and launched her first professional play. While she loves theatre, she decided to focus on Film and TV. She still creates content and supports local artists and companies.
In an interview with Sci-Fi Bulletin, Jordana said acting was a mix of natural interest and a gradual discovery. As an only child, she often used her imagination to entertain herself. Later, while studying political science, she took speech classes and realized her love for acting.
She shared, “I was studying political science, I was going to become an international lawyer advocate and much to my mum’s dismay at first, I caught the acting bug, I liked the classes I took on the side. So, I took a detour and applied and auditioned for this theatre school – so I’m a classically trained theatre actor.”
“I got in and I was like ‘OK, now’s the time to do it. If you’re not going to do it, you’ll end up regretting it, just do it. And if anything, if you fail – great. You can become a lawyer at any time in your life, thirties, forties it doesn’t really matter.’ But for some reason, especially female actresses have a bit of shorter shelf life. I don’t like to say that, really I don’t believe it, I think it’s complete BS but whatever. It is what it is,” the actress also noted.
Her Movies And TV Shows
In her early career, Jordana appeared in shows like ‘The Art of More,’ ‘Fatal Vows,’ ‘Heroes of the North’ and ‘Patrice Lemieux 24/7,’ according to IMDB. Later, she also starred in ’19-2′ and ‘Dans ma tête,’ ‘Hubert et Fanny,’ ‘Shoresy’ and more recently, ‘The Boys.’
