Joseph Quinn Teases Eddie Munson’s Possible Return To ’Stranger Things’ For Season 5

Quinn might return for the finale although his character died in Season 4.

Joseph Quinn teased Eddie Munson’s possible return in ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 during previous chats but didn’t give details. He re-shared his thoughts on the matter in a recent interview with ET:

The actor said the ‘chances are high’ that he’ll reunite with the cast:

“I love those guys! I’d love to say hello.”

He commented on fans feeling hopeful about his comeback:

“I might have that feeling too. Or maybe I don’t. [Laughs] I don’t know! Who knows?”

The Show Is Coming To An End

Though the 2023 writers’ strike delayed the plans, the production for ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 finally started in January 2024. Quinn added about the upcoming episodes:

“I’m sure they’re working very hard to land the plane. It’s been a long time that they’ve been working on that, so I’m really delighted that they’re kind of getting towards the end, and they’re having a nice time.”

The actor himself is busy with other projects. He’s set to appear as Caracalla in ‘Gladiator 2’ and play The Human Torch/Johnny Storm in Marvel’s ‘The Fantastic Four.’

Quinn Is Up For A Return

Eddie Munson sacrificed himself to save the rest of the gang in Season 4. Joseph Quinn described the moment as Eddie’s attempt to redeem and prove himself in a past interview. The actor also shared about possibly reprising the role:

“You know, anything is possible, and I’d be up for anything. So yeah, we’ll see.”

His recent words on the matter were vaguer, as he said at FACTS Belgian Comic-Con in April:

“I do know, but I’m not telling you.”

‘Stranger Things’ Finale is set for release in 2025 on Netflix. Details about the season are under wraps.
