American actress and comedian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who is best known for her role as ‘Elaine Benes’ in ‘Seinfeld,’ left ‘Veep’ aside and spoke of gerrymandering and voter suppression just before the elections in 2020. Louis-Dreyfus, showing her support for Kamala Harris, posted a video related to this issue.
In the video, Louis-Dreyfus explained the term, “gerrymandering” and said that it meant “cheating.” After mentioning the current situation in the U.S., the actress captioned the video as follows:
“Yes, Veeps are important, but it’s our LAST CHANCE to end GOP gerrymandering for a decade!”
The ‘Veep’ actress encouraged her followers to donate at impactslates.org and highlighted that this donation is highly important for the nation. She continued:
“2020 is our LAST CHANCE to keep Republicans from the horrible gerrymandering and voter suppression that has helped them unfairly stay in power. State legislature races continue to be where donations go the furthest – and @ImpactSlates has crunched the numbers to find the candidates most in need of our help.”
Emmy Awards and Screen Actors Guild Award winner actress, criticizing President Donald Trump at every turn, concluded her words by writing:
“If we help them flip their seats, Democrats can gain power prior to redistricting in 2021, which will determine the maps for the next decade.”
