Juliette Lewis Announces Drama Action Film ‘Mayday’ Will Have Its World Premiere At Sundance

Golden Globe-nominated actor Juliette Lewis, best known for her portrayal in satirical crime film ‘Natural Born Killers‘ gave a piece of good news regarding highly-expected drama action movie, ‘Mayday.’

Through her verified Instagram account, Lewis posted the official poster for the film, directed by Karen Cinorre, and heralded that it would have its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival, on January 31. Lewis first introduced the movie to her fans and followers and praised it by saying that it’s worth waiting. In her own words:

“Our movie MAYDAY is coming to you! It’s radical and majestic and wild and special. UNLIKE anything you’ve ever seen! 🪐🎭🌑🎥⚡️🚬RP @cinorre”

The Academy Award-nominated star, who will appear as ‘June‘ in the film, delivered the news with the following words:

“Thrilled to be presenting MAYDAY at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.”

Following the post, both Lewis’ fans and industry friends were quick to left comments saying they can not wait to see the movie which is Cinorre’s directorial debut.

Starring  Grace Van Patten, Mia Goth, Soko, and Havana Rose Liu, the film was first announced in November 2019. The same month it was also declared officially that Karen Cinorre had written the screenplay, and the filming started.

According to the official synopsis released through IMDB, the upcoming series is focusing on the following story:

“Ana is transported to a dreamlike and dangerous land where she joins an army of girls engaged in a never-ending war along a rugged coast. Though she finds strength in this exhilarating world, she comes to realize that she’s not the killer they want her to be.”

As for the date of its theatrical release has yet been announced.
