Jeff Goldblum welcomed Scarlett Johansson to the ‘Jurassic World’ family with a surprise video message on July 8 during her interview with Savannah Guthrie on TODAY. He said:
“Dr. Johansson, this is Jeff Goldblum. Here’s what I want to say to you. This I know: Scarlett will find a way. Don’t get eaten, unless you want to. I love you.”
Johansson joined the ‘Jurassic World’ cast for a sequel being filmed in Thailand, set to release next year. Goldblum, who starred in the original ‘Jurassic Park’ and three more movies in the series, used one of his famous lines to welcome her.
In ‘Jurassic Park,’ Goldblum’s character says, ‘Life finds a way’ about dinosaurs reproducing. Johansson was thrilled when Goldblum said this to her, joking that her life is now complete. She also remembered watching the first ‘Jurassic Park’ as a kid.
Johansson’s Earlier Words On The Upcoming Film
Last month, Johansson told ComicBook.com that the script for the fourth ‘Jurassic World’ movie is incredible:
“I am an enormous ‘Jurassic Park’ fan. It is one of the first movies I remember seeing in theaters. I remember it so vividly. It was life-changing and mind-blowing. I cannot express how excited I am.”
The actress added:
“David Koepp wrote it and returned after 30 years to write it and he’s so passionate about it. I’ve been trying to get into this franchise in any possible way for over 10 years. I’m like, ‘I’ll die in the first five minutes! I can get eaten by whatever! I’ll do the craft service!’ I’ll do anything for it. The fact that it’s happened in this way at this time just is actually unbelievable.”
The new ‘Jurassic World’ movie is a separate story from the first trilogy with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Each of the three ‘Jurassic World’ movies made over $1 billion. Johansson stars in the new film with Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, and David Iacono.
