Actor Justin Long declared on February 5, through his verified Instagram account that he lost her beloved grandmother, Jody.
To deliver the devastating news, Long, who recently appeared as ‘Frank’ in ‘The Wave,’ posted a photo of himself with Jody that sees them from their back while walking, and announced that Jody, who turned 104 on January 2, passed away on February 4.
The host of Disney Plus’ ‘Shop Class,’ described his granny as his “favorite person” and admitted that he has not ready yet to talk about her in the past tense. Long continued his tribute:
“My brother and I are so grateful to all of you who’ve sent her well wishes since she was on the podcast. She got such a kick out of the fact that anybody had heard it and had gotten to know her a little bit – so thank you for that.“
Long also stated that “to know her is to miss her always,” and said goodbye to her with the lyrics of The Beatles‘ hit ‘The End.’
“I’ve been thinking a lot today about that great Beatles line “and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make”. She is taking a LOT of love to wherever she’s going next :)”
Long has disabled commenting on that post.
As fans might remember, a few weeks ago Long took to his verified Instagram account to wish Jody a happy birthday. At that time, by posting a couple of photos of the 104-year-old, the actor listed in a hilarious way the things that existed after Jody had been born.
