After performing his new song, ‘Better Days,’ at the inauguration as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office and made history, Justin Timberlake made an announcement on his Twitter account that he was getting ready to be back on screen with a new film called ‘Palmer.’
This new American drama film, starring Justin Timberlake, Alisha Wainwright, June Squibb, and Juno Temple, is about a former college football star who comes out of prison after 12 years and begins to mentor a young boy.
Timberlake dropped a short video about the film, which was directed by Fisher Stevens from the script of Cheryl Guerriero, writing a note expressing his excitement of meeting with the audience and returning to acting after a long time.
Timberlake started his statements by explaining the main theme of the film, which is about accepting people as who they are and who they want to be without any contingencies. Also, he said that as being a dad himself the story touched his soul more, with the following words:
“This is a story about accepting people for who they are, and who they want to be… no contingencies, no questions asked,” he wrote.
“As a dad, this story hits home. And I’m honored to be part of this film by #FisherStevens and #CherylGuerriero. Can’t wait for you guys to see it Friday.”
The film is set to release on Apple TV + on 29 October 2021.
