After a Twitter user named Games Nosh had shared a photo of the Billie Eilish by criticizing her brutally due to her body shape, Hollywood actor Kat Dennings took to Twitter to react to body shamers.
The said Twitter user captioned the photo of Eilish wearing a tank top and shorts as follows:
“In 10 months Billie Eilish has developed a mid-30’s wine mom body.”
Whereupon, Dennings, portraying ‘Max Black’ in the CBS sitcom ‘2 Broke Girls’ criticized Nosh’s inappropriate tweet, and said the 18-year-old singer is a beautiful and successful woman.
“Anyone reacting to @billieeilish having a normal body has to take a hard look at themselves. As someone who looked exactly like that at her age, it’d be nice for this unhealthy nonsense to fu** right off. She’s beautiful and normal goodbye!”
Apart from Dennings, a good number of celebrities defended Eilish against body-shaming trolls. Musician Jessie Paege wrote on Twitter:
“Billie Eilish is beautiful! PLEASE, do not body shame her, or anyone for that matter. Body shaming is not ‘news’ or ‘gossip’ it’s HARMFUL and UNACCEPTABLE.”
The famous photographer Linda Backer also released the following message via social media:
“Well this tweet ruined my morning. It’s unacceptable to body shame anyone, ever, but this has made me particularly angry. Billie Eilish is just 18. She is a beautiful young woman. I swear, society just wants us to hate ourselves.”
