Kate Beckinsale Focuses On Positive Effects Of Social Media And Celebrates One Of Her Followers’ Birthday

Actress Kate Beckinsale, who gained great fame for her role as ‘Selene’ in the ‘Underworld’ film series, took her personal Instagram page on July 7 and posted a highly interesting message along with a drawing and photo of her follower.

Beckinsale firstly criticizes mean comments and news on social media channels and wrote:

“We hear about so much mean-spiritedness on social media. We see nasty comments and hear about so much suffering caused by unpleasant things people say to each other, emboldened by the anonymity of an Instagram or Twitter handle.”

And then, the ‘Love & Friendship’ actress congratulated ‘craftyape’ nicknamed follower’s birthday:

“I’d like to take this opportunity to wish one of my followers who I do not know at all, @craftyape, a very happy birthday. He has consistently quietly left comments that have made me laugh out loud.”

In order to highlight the huge power and positive effects of social media channels, Kathrin Romary Beckinsale ended her caption as follows, and encouraged other followers to follow ‘craftyape’:

“This is social media’s superpower – people having a positive effect on other people who would never otherwise meet. He also did a very fine drawing of a man who has only ever seen his reflection in a trombone which I feel the world needs. If you fancy spreading love please go to his page and wish him a happy birthday. He seems to be on a camping trip so it would be a real result if we all managed to make him fall into some sort of inlet. Happy birthday, @craftyape. Keep being you x”
