Kate Hudson Joins Apple’s ‘Truth Be Told’ Cast For Season 2

Actor Kate Hudson to star against Octavia Spencer in the second season of Apple’s drama series ‘Truth Be Told.’

According to news obtained by DEADLINE, Hudson will portray a lifestyle guru who is a friend of ‘Poppy Parnell’ named ‘Micah Keith’ in the series created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman and produced by Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, and Jenno Topping.

Huston, best known for her role in ‘Almost Famous’ reacted to the news by posting a screenshot of the related essay published by DEADLINE to Instagram Stories with the following note:

This is gonna be fun.”

Octavia Spencer, portraying an investigative reporter ‘Poppy Parnell’ in ‘Truth Be Told,’ which based on the novel ‘Are You Sleeping’ by Kathleen Barber, wrote on Instagram in order to welcome Hudson:

“So excited to welcome #KateHudson to our #TruthBeTold family. Let’s show her some love y’all! 👇🏽

As known, the series, starring Aaron Paul, Lizzy Caplan, Elizabeth Perkins, and Michael Beach alongside Spencer, was released on November 26, 2019, and the renewal to the series was given by Apple on March 5, 2020. The creator & producer, Nichelle Tramble Spellman received an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing in a Dramatic Series with the said series the same year.
