Katherine Heigl Starts “Trip Down Firefly Lane” Challenge And Encourages Instagram Users To Show Off Bonds With Their Friends

Katherine Heigl goes on promoting her new Netflix series, ‘Firefly Lane,’ through her verified social media accounts.

Hollywood actor Heigl, who gained further recognition for her role as ‘Izzie Stevens‘ on the television medical drama ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ began appearing in Netflix’s new project ‘Firefly Lane’ as of the date of February 3, and started a new challenge titled “Trip Down Firefly Lane” through Instagram.

By releasing a series of TBT photos of herself with her best friends, Heigl, portraying ‘Tully Hart‘ in the series, wrote the following message as a caption:

“The sacred six then and now! Our bonds formed as tweens and have taken us right into our 40’s and I pray well beyond!”

Stating that “there is nothing like having friends who knew you at your most awkward, insecure and unsure,” the 42-year-old challenged her fans & followers to share the cherished moments they spent best friends as she did in the post. She also revealed the rules for the challenge:

I challenge you and your best friends to take a #TripDownFireflyLane and post favorite photos from memorable times in your lives! Make sure to use #3DecadesChallenge #TripDownFireflyLane and @Netflix so we can see them!”

The actor, who became sociable the other day to show the home premiere party of the series that held by her best friends, referred to the story of the series with the said challenge. As known, the Netflix show, based on the novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah, is focusing on the unbreakable bond between the friends of years.
