Marvel recently brought Kelsey Grammer’s Beast back for a quick appearance in a post-credit scene of ‘The Marvels’ alongside Lashana Lynch’s Maria Rambeau/Binary. Grammer confirmed in a new interview with ComicBook that he has been in discussions about reprising his role following the strong fan reaction to his cameo.
“There’s nothing I can talk about,” the actor explained. “What I do know is that there was a huge sort of outburst when I showed up at the end of ‘The Marvels,’ I guess it was. The response was really almost… it wasn’t unexpected. There’d be some response, but it was pretty overwhelming, and so there are some conversations.”
Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau ended up in a new universe where she came across Beast and an alternate version of her mother, Maria, in the 2023 film. Despite the positive feedback to the scene, Marvel still didn’t confirm any plans to touch on it in future films.
Lashana Lynch herself was uncertain about her character’s future in the MCU when she told ComicBookMovie earlier this year, “That’s something that came across time as a slow plan. Well, for me, anyway. They probably had it planned the whole time. I genuinely don’t know what’s next, but I think with where the franchise is going, it’s naturally going to be exciting. And I’m excited to see where it goes next.”
Marvel is currently working on its Phase 5 and 6 projects, which will all lead to 2026’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and 2027’s ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’ Phase 5’s final two films, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and ‘Thunderbolts*’ will arrive in early 2025.
