Kerry Washington, the recipient of numerous acting awards including the Primetime Emmy Award, the NAACP Image Award, and The President’s Award, jumped into her verified social media accounts in order to celebrate her ‘Scandal‘ co-star Darby Stanchfield‘s 50th birthday.
On April 29, the actor, who has been nominated for multiple prestigious awards for her performance as ‘Mia Warren‘ in the drama series ‘Little Fires Everywhere,’ released a TBT photo of herself with Stanchfield portraying ‘Abby Whelan’ in the political drama series, through Twitter. Along with the photo, in which the two are seen in evening gowns, Washington added a note that reads:
“We got a Scandal Fam birthday in the house! Gladiators help me send Darby Stanchfield so much birthday love today.”
Then Washington, playing a former White House Director of Communications named ‘Olivia “Liv” Carolyn Pope‘ in the series created by Shonda Rhimes, stated that she missed her ‘Scandal’ crew a lot during the coronavirus pandemic period. She concluded her adorable message as follows:
“I miss you so much and can’t wait to be reunited with your kind energy and positive spirit. Love you Darbs! Happy Birthday!”
Washington shared the same post through her verified Instagram account and Stanchfield jumped into the comments section with a message that reads:
“Thank you for the thoughtful birthday wish! Love you and miss you Kerry.”
