Five-time NAACP Image Award-winning actor Kerry Washington showed how big her love for her ‘Scandal‘ co-star Bellamy Young on February 19, on Young’s 50th birthday.
Washington, who is currently appearing as ‘Mia Warren‘ in the drama streaming television miniseries, ‘Little Fires Everywhere,’ posted a TBT photo of herself with Young from the said series’ set and added a lengthy message to mark the day. In her message, Washington described Young as one of her favorite people; in her own words:
“One of my FAVORITE people in the world is celebrating a birthday today!!!!!!!! Bells I love you soooooo much and I’m grateful every day you were born.”
The actor, who was recently nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie with her performance in the series, based on Celeste Ng‘s novel of the same name, concluded her adorable tribute as follows:

Actually, the duo’s friendship goes long way back; it is known that Washington and Young were besties since 2012. What’s more, back on February 1, the actor, who is appearing in the Fox series, ‘Prodigal Son,’ released a sweet Instagram tribute to Washington. In her post, Young wrote:
“I love you, Ker. Always & forever. You use the full force of your beautiful heart in whatever you turn your light toward: motherhood, friendship, entertainment, organizing, healing, leading, loving. It is so easy to celebrate the extraordinary human you are EVERY day- but I’m glad we have this one in particular to really rain the love down on you. 🤓”
