Actor Kerry Washington, best known for her role as ‘Olivia Pope’ in the ABC drama series ‘Scandal‘ took to Instagram intending to encourage people to vote in the upcoming presidential election in the United States.
Washington, portraying a crisis management expert in the said series, chose a highly interesting way for her purpose; she said that kissing ‘Scandal’ co-stars, Tony Goldwyn, who plays ‘President Fitzgerald Grant,’ and Scott Foley, who plays ‘Jake Ballard’ was like voting early. She posted a photo of herself with Goldwyn and Foley, and added the following message as a caption:
“A lot of people ask me what it’s like to kiss @tonygoldwyn and @scottkfoley. I never really talk about it but…it’s kind of like that feeling when you’ve made a voting plan, voted early, and got your friends and family registered to vote too. 🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 ❤️🔥”
A shortly before the aforementioned post, the actor, who is familiar with sharing posts to urge people to vote, released the following note alongside a video that contains racist people’s expressions:
“⚠️trigger warning⚠️ Whether you vote or not, THEY WILL! So PLEASE. Pull up. Step up. Don’t wait. Vote. Vote early. And remind all your cousins and them too.”
Besides, as might fans remember, on an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014, Washington described what it was like to make out with Goldwyn and Foley by saying:
“I don’t enjoy either one. I think they’re both lovely men. It’s awkward! But it’s been awkward since the beginning. It’s always awkward. It doesn’t stop being awkward.”
