Kevin Feige Confirms Hugh Jackman Will Be Replaced As Wolverine

Jackman will soon pass the torch to a new actor.

Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige confirms that Hugh Jackman will eventually be replaced as Wolverine.

Feige said that there are no immediate plans to replace Jackman, but a new actor will take over the role in the future:

“You know, Marvel is celebrating its 85th anniversary later this summer. That’s just the first 85 years, and Disney just celebrated 100 years as well. I think these characters will be around for another 100 years, long after all of us. So, for sure, there will be [eventually another actor as Wolverine]. I think it will be in a very different style and in a different way. I also think if somebody were to attempt to do a Hugh Jackman as Wolverine impression, that would be a pretty big mistake.”

He thinks the new Wolverine shouldn’t be an imitation of Jackman’s version.

New Deadpool Movie Marks Jackman’s Latest Stint As Wolverine

Jackman has been playing Wolverine for over 20 years. He appeared in 10 movies as the mutant hero. James Mangold’s ‘Logan’ was supposed to be his last appearance as Wolverine, Jackman returned for ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ to debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ shows us several Wolverine variants as Wade Wilson (Deadpool) travels through different realities. One of these variants is played by Henry Cavill. Dafne Keen also reprises her role as X-23 and joins Wolverine in the final scene.

The movie has an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with 243 reviews. The MPAA gave it an R-rating for strong bloody violence, language, gore, and sexual references.

You can watch ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ in theaters.
