Kevin Feige Plans Comeback For Marvel’s Biggest Flops

Disney unveiled a lot of snippets of what’s to come in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney D23 Brasil is underway, and Marvel Studios held a panel on Day 2, Nov. 9, where new updates on the Marvel Cinematic Universe were announced. An official trailer for ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and a teaser for ‘Thunderbolts’ which will both set to premiere in the first half of 2025.

Kevin Feige spoke to Cinepop at Disney D23 Brasil and discussing the ‘Eternals sequel and the potential ‘Blade movie starring Mahershala Ali. Feige provided updates on what’s next for ‘Blade’, ‘Eternals’, and ‘Inhumans.’

Speaking about ‘Blade’, he said, “We’ve been actively working, as everybody knows for many, many years to bring that to the screen.”

Regarding the ‘Inhumans’, Feige noted, “We had a cameo of Black Bolt in [2022’s ‘Doctor Strange’] Multiverse of Madness‘, and we’ll see where, if, and when they return.”

When asked about ‘Eternals 2′, Feige noted, “‘Eternals’, very proud of that movie. We’d be lucky to get any of them at some point.” ‘Eternals starred an ensemble of many famous names, including Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kit Harington, Barry Keoghan, Gemma Chan, Salma Hayek, and Kumail Nanjiani, many with projects underway. The movie premiered in 2021 and had turnaround, barely making any profit. With a budget of $200 million, the movie grossed $401.7 million worldwide, which barely covered the initial investment and marketing costs.

There were rumors that Kevin Feige is advocationg to get Disney to make a sequel to ‘Eternals,’ an idea that has sparked concern among some fans.
