One of the most dominant voices of the ‘Black Lives Matter‘ movement, well-known comedian Kevin Hart took to Instagram the other day to react to the news regarding that the US Capitol in Washington had been invaded by supporters of Donald Trump.
Hart, who is preparing for appearing in ‘The Man From Toronto‘ as ‘Teddy,’ posted a pair of snaps of the rioters, taken during the invasion, and wrote a message saying that in case the rioters were people of color, they would be shot to death by the police. To point out the difference in the police manners towards the black and white people, he wrote:
“2 completely different America’s that we are living in. If these people were black they would have all been shot dead.”
Highlighting that all the things were going on in Washington was all about racial injustice and white privilege, he continued his message as follows:
“This s**t is past the word sad….at this point it’s pure disrespect to all people of color. Why can’t we see this situation handled the same way that we have seen our people handled repeatedly…”
Like many celebs stated before through their social media channels, Hart also said it is sad and embarrassing:
“…when the armed officers are supposed to use force they don’t…S**t is fu**ing SAD!!!!!”
Even though the post received 3 million likes, at the same time it caused great controversy among Instagram users. While some of them showed their support to Hart, the rest of them criticized him for promoting the violence.
