Well-known stand-up comedian, actor, and producer Kevin Hart guaranteed that his upcoming drama film ‘Fatherhood‘ will be one of the best movies of this year.
On April 28, Hart, best known for his stand-up shows and comedic roles in TV and movies, fired up his verified social media account to announce that the film directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Paul Weitz will hit Netflix on June 18.
In order to deliver the exciting news, he posted a photo from the film, in which he is seen hugging his 9-year-old co-star Melody Hurd. Underneath the photo, Hart added a note that reads:
“Fatherhood will be dropping on Netflix June 18th people… Mark your calendar’s damn it! This movie is based off of an amazing true story… I can’t wait for the world to see this film…”
As soon as the comedian, who garnered high praises for his Netflix stand-up ‘Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up,’ released the post, young actor Hurd, portraying ‘Maddy Logelin‘ in the film, jumped into the comments section and wrote that she can’t wait to see the movie.
As known, the release date of ‘Fatherhood,’ starring Alfre Woodard, Anthony Carrigan, Lil Rel Howery, Paul Reiser, Deborah Ayorinde, DeWanda Wise, and Teneisha Collins alongside the leads, was delayed multiple times because of the coronavirus pandemic.
It was originally scheduled to release on January 8, 2021; however, Netflix acquired the release rights of the film from Sony Pictures Releasing.
