The well-known comedian & actor Kevin Hart talked to Tyler Aquilina from the Entertainment Weekly and spoke over the series, ‘Die Hart’, he plays himself in.
During the interview, Hart said that the movie is more than a James Bond genre and narrated how this show developed:
“We were waiting for the opportunity to try to figure out what the next version of that was, and we stumbled on this idea. So I’d been pitching it a while, and it was about finding the right writer and director, and we got that with Eric and Tripper.”
Hart had experienced a major car accident in 2019 and suffered a spinal injury, however, he insisted on making an action show. Regarding this issue, the comedian said:
“I bounced back like a motherf***ing machine!”
The ‘Paper Soldiers’ star made mention of the challenges he faced throughout the filming:
“There’s one scene where I had to jump off of a roof and hang on the side, and I felt like it may have been better to fall down. So there was a little back and forth that I had with our creators, and people were afraid for me to get hurt, which I understood. But I think those are the big challenges for me. Not doing what I know I can, but doing what I should, if that makes sense.”
When he was asked whether he would take Dwayne Johnson-type of roles in the future, he answered back by saying the followings:
“Not Dwayne Johnson-type of stuff, because those things are stupid. I lined up like 13 projects already, all action.”
The ‘Die Hart’ was released on July 20 on Quibi.
