Kieran Culkin reignited his playful faux feud with Pedro Pascal during this year’s Golden Globe Awards. The two actors, who went viral last awards season for their humorous barbs at various ceremonies, have once again drawn attention with Culkin’s latest jokes on the red carpet.

During Variety and Entertainment Tonight’s Golden Globes red carpet pre-show, the topic of Pascal came up, prompting Culkin to poke fun.

“Is he here tonight? Oh he’s not? Sorry, Pedro, were you not nominated this year?” Culkin asked with a laugh. “Next year. Maybe next year. When I won’t be.”

Culkin and Pascal’s mock rivalry began at the 2024 Golden Globes when Culkin won Best Actor in a TV Drama for his performance in the final season of HBO’s ‘Succession.’ During his acceptance speech, Culkin humorously called out Pascal, saying: “I was nominated for a Golden Globe like 20 years ago, and when that moment passed, I still remember thinking, I’m never going to be back in this room again.” He added, “But thanks to ‘Succession,’ I’ve been in here a couple times,” he continued: “Suck it, Pedro!”

The camera cut to a hilariously confused Pascal in the audience, who was a nominee for his role in HBO’s ‘The Last of Us.’ Pascal later continued the gag at the strike-delayed Emmy Awards, showing up with a shoulder sling. When asked about it, he joked, “Kieran Culkin beat the shit out of me.”

This year, Culkin attended the Golden Globes as a nominee for Best Supporting Actor in Jesse Eisenberg’s ‘A Real Pain,’ a performance that has already earned him accolades from the New York Film Critics Circle and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.

Culkin’s nomination is one of four for ‘A Real Pain,’ which is also in the running for Best Picture in the Comedy or Musical category.
