The actress Lucy Liu, who is best known for representing ‘Ling Woo’ in the TV series ‘Ally McBeal’ goes on contributing financially to COVID-19 relief efforts.
This time around, the ‘Kill Bill’ star donated art pieces made by herself to raise funds for supporting artists who have been impacted by coronavirus pandemic.
One of the stars of ‘Charlie’s Angels’ who attended the New York Studio School for Painting, posted a piece through Instagram and wrote as a caption:
“Myself, Ai Weiwei, Swoon as well as many other artists have donated art to raise funds to help with COVID-19 relief. @art.intouch has launched @n95fornyc – An online benefit exhibition where all proceeds will be donated to purchase PPE for underserved communities and support artists and art organizations who have been severely impacted. Only 5 more days to support and donate to ‘Together in Distance’”
It is not the first time that Liu donates her share of the profits, she has contributed to several organizations with the portions of the proceeds from her arts, throughout her art career.
