Young actor Lana Condor is over the clouds after MTV victory!
On May 17, MTV Movie and TV Awards were presented to its owners with a ceremony at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, in front of audiences. At the night, the film, which Condor starred in, ‘To All The Boys: Always And Forever’ received the MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Movie.
The award, the famous Golden Popcorn, was accepted by author Jenny Han and producer Matt Kaplan. During the acceptance speech Kaplan said:
“Thank you for all the fans who voted. Thank you, Netflix. Jenny, thank you for trusting us with your books. Without that, we wouldn’t be here.”
Then Han headed over and referred to Condor’s character from the series, ‘Lara Jean‘ by saying:
“You’ve shown so much love for Lara Jean. Thank you so much for that — and I ask that you keep showing that love for the Asian-American community at large.”
Following these cherished moments, the titular character of the romantic-comedy film series, Condor jumped into her verified Instagram account and expressed how much she is grateful for the award. In order to celebrate the news, the actor, who previously appeared in fantasy & horror films including ‘Deadly Class,’ ‘X-Men: Apocalypse,’ and ‘Alita: Battle Angel,’ first released a couple of shots of herself, in a stunning sequinned gown by Giorgio Armani.
Alongside the photos, Condor wrote in the caption section regarding the film which competed with ‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,’ ‘Judas and the Black Messiah,’ ‘Promising Young Woman,’ and ‘Soul‘ for Best Movie:
“Glam glam moment cuz @toalltheboysnetflix won “Best Movie” at the MTV Movie & TV Awards!” I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, none of this would be possible without you all. I love you more than you know.”
Following Condor’s message, of course, a great number of users of Instagram jumped into the comment section to congratulate her.
As fans may know, the film series received two MTV Movie Awards in 2019 for Best Kiss and Breakthrough Performance back in 2019.
