Scottish actor and producer Sean Connery, best known for portraying ‘James Bond,’ died peacefully in his sleep at his home in the Lyford Cay. He was 90.
The devastating news regarding the actor’s passing, confirmed by his son, Jason Connery. Connery said that her father had been “unwell for some time.” According to son Connery, when the actor died overnight in Nassau, he was surrounded by his family members. Jason continued:
“A sad day for all who knew and loved my dad and a sad loss for all people around the world who enjoyed the wonderful gift he had as an actor.”
Then, the actor’s publicist Nancy Seltzer informed the world about the funeral; she said that there would be a private ceremony followed by a memorial. The memorial ceremony will take place once the pandemic come to end.
The first actor to play ‘James Bond’ on the big screen, left behind a world full of sorrow. Once the news spread regarding the legendary actor, a good number of notable figures from the entertainment industry mourned his death. As one of them, Hugh Jackman wrote on Twitter:

As for the current ‘Bond,’ actor Daniel Craig said Connery was one of the greats of cinema and added by stressing the importance of his influence on the entertainment industry:
“Sir Sean Connery will be remembered as Bond and so much more. He will continue to influence actors and film-makers alike for years to come. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.”
Three-time Golden Globe Award-winning actor Sam Neill was one of those who took to social media to pay tribute to the Academy Award winner. On Twitter, Neill wrote that Connery was a great actor with his charisma and power.
