LGBTQ+ Holiday Rom-Com ‘The Christmas Setup’ Is Out Now

The highly expected Lifetime’s holiday rom-com, which centered on an LGBTQ+ couple, ‘The Christmas Setup‘ is now worldwide available to watch.

The channel announced the exciting news through its official Instagram page; alongside an official poster of the special, the following message was added:

“Set your alarms, #TheChristmasSetup premieres TONIGHT at 8/7c!”

Following the channel’s announcement, co-stars Blake Lee and Ben Lewis, who also have been together for more than ten years in their personal lives, took their social accounts and deliver the news in a huge cheer.

Lewis, who appears as New York lawyer ‘Hugo,’ expressed how much he is proud to be a part of Lifetime’s first-holiday movie focusing on LGBTQ+ love, with her husband actor Blake Lee. Lewis continued his message on Instagram as follows:

“I just want to say once again, how proud Blake and I are of this movie and everyone involved. Also, apparently, all it takes is a chunky sweater and a string of lights to give me an ass. It’s a Christmas miracle! Enjoy! 🌈🎄✨🍑”

As for his real-life husband Blake Lee shared the poster of the film through his Instagram account and wrote in the caption section that ‘The Christmas Setup’ is a kind of movie, he has wished to be in since he was a little kid. Then the actor added that he hopes the film is just the beginning of LGBTQ+ people’s stories on TV. Lee continued:

“My hope is that next year we have holiday movies centered around queer people of color, trans people, non-binary people, everyone deserves to see themselves represented with a happy ending. Never in a million years did I ever think I would star in a movie with my husband, two friends & The Nanny!!!! Hope you all enjoy it! Happy Holidays. 🎄🌈🎄”

‘The Christmas Setup’ is now available through Lifetime online platforms.
