Miranda Cosgrove is ‘not entirely sure’ if she was in the ‘Lilo & Stitch’ TV series.
During a recent Wired autocomplete interview, Cosgrove was asked if she ever starred in the Disney TV series ‘Lilo & Stitch.’ She admitted:
“People think I was in ‘Lilo & Stitch,’ and I wasn’t. This is gonna sound insane, but I’m not entirely sure if I was in ‘Lilo & Stitch’ or not.”
She even said:
“If I was, it was just maybe one line? But I don’t think I was.”
Cosgrove is credited with voicing two characters in two separate episodes of ‘Lilo & Stitch: The Series’ in 2005. Her IMDb page says that she voiced an unidentified girl and a character named Sara.
There’s a ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Live-Action Remake On The Way
‘Lilo & Stitch: The Series’ aired from 2003 to 2006, and the original ‘Lilo & Stitch’ film was released in 2002. The movie follows an alien named Stitch who is adopted as a ‘dog’ by a young girl named Lilo and her older sister Nani.
This story also led to two more films: ‘Stitch! The Movie’ in 2003 and ‘Leroy & Stitch’ in 2006. Disney announced a live-action remake of the original in 2020, with Maia Kealoha as Lilo and Sanders returning as Stitch.
Cosgrove voiced several animated characters in her career, like young Margo in the ‘Despicable Me’ films. She will also reprise her role as Margo in the upcoming fourth movie of the ‘Despicable Me’ franchise. The movie hit theaters on July 3.
