‘Stranger Things’ welcomed Linda Hamilton to its cast in a role that remains a mystery to fans. Being a part of the upcoming Season 5 made Hamilton, who has joined the likes of Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, and Millie Bobby Brown, feel out of place after years of being its fan.
In a chat about Season 3 of Syfy’s ‘Resident Alien,’ the actress told Us Weekly:
“I’ve watched every season with relish. I just love it. So it’s kind of, like, imposter syndrome where I don’t [feel that I] fit in there. That’s a whole world set in the ’80s.”
She went on to say that being in the show has kind of spoiled it for her:
“When you really buy into something, you don’t see yourself in it. So, I think, in a way, it kind of ruined the show for me. I never watch [a project] once I’m in something. It would just completely take me out of the reality of it to see myself in there. So, I won’t be watching [Season 5].”
The New Character Is A Big Secret
Regarding her role in the upcoming final season, details are little to none, not only for the audience but for Hamilton as well.
After getting the part, the actress talked to the show’s creators, Ross and Matt Duffer. The two gave her some info about her character but not the whole story:
“Because they have to be very careful with their story. So, I still don’t know how it ends. And it takes a lot of discipline to not know where it’s going to go. But that’s to protect it from all of the people that want to know.”
She touched on how she keeps things secret and enjoys her time on set:
“I don’t share, but I’m having a really good time. … I have friends now that will text me and go, ‘Where are you? Or you can’t say?’ But that’s out of respect and love for the Duffer brothers.”
‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 will pick up after the events of the previous season’s finale, but it’s not clear which point the new season will start from.
