Lindsay Lohan Reportedly In Talks With Marvel To Play A ‘Vixen Superhero’

The former child star is possibly gearing up for a superhero role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Reports from Us Magazine suggest that Lohan has sparked interest from Marvel Studios and is currently discussing the possibility of playing a ‘vixen superhero.’ However, the specifics about the character remain hidden.

Lohan has been making a comeback to the screen, with a cameo in the recent ‘Mean Girls’ reboot and a lead role in ‘Falling For Christmas,’ a Netflix holiday movie that attracted a lot of viewers in 2022.

Her work hasn’t been limited to acting in front of the camera; she’s also taken on voice roles in ‘Devil May Care’ on Syfy and ‘Lovestruck High’ on Prime Video. Additionally, Lohan has announced that she and Jamie Lee Curtis are planning a sequel to ‘Freaky Friday.’

She’s Been Up For A Marvel Role For Some Time Now

In an interview with Forbes in 2022, Lohan shared her interest in exploring more action-packed roles, particularly mentioning a potential collaboration with Marvel. She explained:

“I think I’m always the kind of person that I see what comes and take it as it comes, wherever the scripts lead me. I love doing ‘rom-coms’ so that’s always something that I’m going to look for and do a ton of when the time is right, but there’s definitely other – I’ve never done an action film. I would love to do something with Marvel – just seeing what comes my way and I’m open to different roles.”

The Actress Was Ready To Join DC As Well

The actress has also shown interest in the DC Universe. But she feels her past controversies, including jail time, have impacted her opportunities in the superhero genre, causing her to miss out on a role in a ‘Batgirl’ movie.

On ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ in 2018, she remarked:

“I’ve learned my lessons. But then it distracts from actually maybe meeting with people to do ‘Batgirl’ or maybe doing a ‘Mean Girls 2.’ It really distracts people. They only think about the negative, and I don’t think that’s a way to move forward in life.”

Following the news from Us Magazine, speculation has arisen among fans about the character Lohan might play, with some suggesting Marvel’s Black Cat due to her clever and agile nature.
