Best remembered for her role as ‘Shelly Johnson‘ on the cult TV series, ‘Twin Peaks,’ Mädchen Amick went to her verified Instagram account with an intimate post. On April 2, the star, who is currently portraying ‘Alice Cooper‘ on CW’s series ‘Riverdale,’ released a photo of herself lying on her bed and wrote in the caption section she has been going through hard times.
Actually, the previous weeks brought Amick a piece of great news; as may her fans remember, the actor heralded that she would direct an episode of the series, named ‘The Night Gallery.’ At that time, Amick expressed her excitement through Instagram by saying that she has the best crew ever.
Just a few weeks after, the star jumped into the social media one more time and stated that even though she is still satisfied with directing the episode, she is trying to cope with some medical issues. She wrote:
“While following my dream of directing, a close family member was hit with a major health issue. I only share this to encourage everyone out there to surround yourself with the right tribe and they will support you through any adversity.”
Then the 50-year-old, who previously directed the episode ‘Chapter Seventy-Six: Killing Mr. Honey,’ showed her gratitude to the cast and crew of the series for helping her to handle the situation. In her own words:
“Thank you to my family and the sweetest #riverdale crew for rallying around me to get me through this hardship 🙏🏼 I can’t thank you enough!”
As soon as the star released the abovementioned post, her ‘Riverdale’ co-stars jumped into the comments section to show their support one more time. As one of them, Lili Reinhart, who is portraying ‘Betty Cooper‘ in the series created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa wrote: “Angel ❤️ love you.”
