‘X-Men ’97’ suggests Magneto and Rogue’s relationship might be ‘inapproprite’ for some.
Rogue revealed in the show that she and Magneto were romantically involved after she got her powers. Their story doesn’t have a happy ending, though — Magneto dies during an attack.
There’s been a lot of talk online about whether Magneto was ‘grooming’ Rogue. Magneto is a character who survived the Holocaust, and he would be in his 60s in the show’s setting. This makes him decades older than Rogue.
Former showrunner Beau DeMayo recently spoke up to clear some things up. He explained that Rogue was already in her early 20s when she first met Magneto.
You can see DeMayo’s tweet below.

Morph’s Shower Scene With Wolverine Caused Controversy
Morph is introduced as non-binary, and this got some fans upset. However, what caused a greater shock was the moment when Morph walked in on Wolverine in the shower. You can read the details here.
J.P. Karliak shared that the term ‘non-binary’ wasn’t used back in the 90s, but it fits how Morph sees himself:
“We’re never going to say the word ‘non-binary’ because nobody said the word ‘non-binary’ in the ‘90s. It’s not that it didn’t exist; it was just in no way a mainstream term at the time. Morph’s understanding of who he is could equate to what a modern person would say is non-binary, but he just doesn’t have the terminology for it. At the same time, they/them wasn’t a concept in terms of using it as a pronoun.”
The producers of ‘X-Men ’97’ started working on Season 3.
