Rose to fame with her leading role in the Netflix teen series, ‘Never Have I Ever,’ young actor Maitreyi Ramakrishnan featured on TIME magazine’s The Next 100 Most Influential People issue cover.
By posting the cover photo, Ramakrishnan delivered the exciting news by herself through her verified Instagram account. In the caption section, the 19-year-old, who recently nominated at the 2021 Film Independent Spirit Awards for the Best Female Performance in a Scripted Series, thanked her fans and followers for all the love and support that allows her to appear on the cover of one of the most known magazines. She wrote:
“Constantly I struggle to take in my achievements and appreciate the moment but I need to say a huge thank you to all of you for helping me truly feel this moment.”
Ramakrishnan then stated that she will always “speak up for what she believes in and continues to grow herself” and added that while doing that she will not forget to live every day with purpose. The young actor continued by calling her fans & followers to join herself as she is celebrating her own achievement:
“So let’s celebrate this win together because FU*K YEAH WE DID THAT. GUYS LET’S CELEBRATE WITH SOME BOBA. TREAT YOURSELF AND HAVE A DAY! GO RULE THE WORLD BECAUSE WHY THE F*CK NOT❤️”
As soon as Ramakrishnan, previously named as one of eighteen “Groundbreakers” by Today, shared the abovementioned post, her industry friends jumped into the comments section to congratulate her. Especially her ‘Never Have I Ever’ co-star Darren Barnet, Madelyn Cline, and Yara Shahidi were quick to flood the section.
